Ok, talk to me about recruiting????

So evidently I suck at recruiting this year. I took Wisconsin, went 13-0, national champs.....10 recruits signed....10!?! I am usually not even close to signing many at all. What are some tips or hints to this???

What is the best way to use the pitch? Would love some feed back.

I mean do you offer scollies right away or do you wait later in the season. Just not sure which is the best way to go about it.

well u just kinda gotta poke around see what they are interested in the most and make hard pitches for what they like. I normally offer right away but dont schedule visits right away until i have the pitches unlocked more

i usually give scholarships right away...But then as the season goes along i pitch pitches that my team is better at then other schools....I found out that if you pitch athletic Facilities to offensive and defensive lineman you USUALLY get them to sign....Other players like star defensive players or offensive star players like TELEVISION EXPOSURE and PRO POTENTIAL....Try that and see if it works out....

After some trial and error, I found some of the following helpful. Mind you, I was running a four team dynasty after slugging through 2 seasons with my fav

    1. Recruit according to need and start hear
    2. Focus on your needs. You dont want to be left with LBs playing TE, or a roster you can't cut with (70 or fewer players). A warm body is better than no body.
    3. Recruit according to interest after you have done your needs work
    4. Offer schollies immediately. You probably wont know if they'll sign until you offer unless you have the adviser add-on. If your first on their list, they are more likely to sign.
    5. Pitch and pounce after you know most of their likes or dislikes
    6. Mind your school's grades and pitch accordingly. It's pointless to pitch something where your getting C's and D's.
    7. Use the recruit interest's screen (triangle in PS3) and the my school screen to identify strengths, and pitch accordingly.
    8. Schedule visits at least 2 clicks from their initial interest date. This gives you time to learn their interests and pitch accordingly. No use spending 60 mins on a 2-star recruit when you could use 2 30 min sessions.
    8. Match your school's best pitch with the recruit's interest level. If your best is unknown, go with what you know. If that fails, guess with your school's best.
    9. Focus on the recruits who have made thier in-season visits. Pitch the green interests, persuade on the yellow interests, ignore red interests unless your school is A rated or better.
    10. Work at recruiting hard on-season to make off-season easier. You can then focus on higher caliber recruits in the off-season.

Using these strategies, I was able to have approximately 10 to 15 recruits signed by the end of the season, and my four schools had 0 to 5 scholarships available after off-season recruiting ended.

    Best of recruiting
