maybe one day they will put zone blocking in the NCAA game... and these plays would actually work on the NCAA game... until then... its all gay... and i can only see it on saturdays...

notice how oregon runs their zone option ALWAYS to what is the "white" side of the DL... pause the video at 4 seconds... and look at the D line... on the left side there is a guy between the C and G... thats a 1 technique... anytime you see a 1 technique thats your side to zone read... b/c its an EASY down block...

then pause it at 32 seconds... again... "WHITE" side the DT they read is in a 1 technique... 1 technique...

the opposite side is called "RED" by most... RED REDUCED... b/c of the DT playing wider and a DE on the edge the holes are REDuced... WHITE for "WIDE"... just something to keep in mind when watching youtube cut ups... and clips... this isnt ALWAYS the rule... but trust me.. with oregon... this is almost the case every time...

its a great concept that kelley uses... since most that play him will play some version of the nickel... with 2 LB's... and try to contain the oregon speed on the perimeter...

with what i told you about techniques... hes able to release the DT... and the zone block gets the C on the ILB... and if you go back :32 and look at that read... watch the RG... he zone blocks with the OT to seal off the end... the RG should have immediately went to that back side LB who ended up making the tackle...

    LAZINESS... LAZINESS...
