Consider these tips when you play a game online, and I'm sure that you will find that EA will not screw you over as often.
1. Check you opponent's career before you play him. Look down at the Quit and Disconnect percentages and compare the sum of those two percentages to their DNF percentage. If there is a pretty big difference, then don't play the opponent, because it means that either their connection is terrible or they have been running plays/using audibles that trigger the PA/Option DC. Also check the option percentage. If it's high, proceed with caution.
2. Start the game out by playing conservative, looking to see if your opponent is hot routing players to zones or contains, as this can easily trigger DCs from EA by simply running options/PAs.
3. If you are winning by a comfortable margin, avoid running options/PAs while on offense. Also, avoid smart zoning and containing defenders on defense.
4. If you notice that your opponent likes to run option, avoid containing DEs/LBs as this can cause DCs.
5. DO NOT COMMIT ON OPTION PASSES!!!
6. Do not run PA Power O or any form of Option Pass.
7. If you see that the connection to your opponent is yellow or red on the matchup screen, ask them why it is that way. If they do something to make it green, go ahead and play. If they don't, avoid playing them, because a bad connection will make you more susceptible to DCs. If they nag you about not playing them, simply explain to them why you aren't playing or just block them.
8. If you're going into a game and you see "Connection to Your Opponent Has Been Lost," on the screen prior to the coin toss, don't go back and try to start a game again with the same opponent again. If you do go into a game against the same opponent, you risk a high chance of getting a DC a some point during the game.
9. "If your opponent runs a lot of play-action plays from under center (and the same goes for option plays). Don't call blitzing play's on defense. If you need certain guys to blitz. Call a non blitz play and hot route them to blitz. Example: Want to run thunder green? Just call cover 2 man instead, and hot route the lb's to blitz."
I hope these help. Any Questions, feel free to ask . . .
